Confronting Calvinism's Deceptive Nonsense

There is a post over at Soteriology 101 that I think is worth reading.  It's titled "Condemned For Factors Beyond The Agent's Control?"   It's a post that confronts the Calvinist idea that God ultimately condemns people for things He caused them to do, things that they had no control over.   According to Calvinism, God is ultimately the sole cause of everything that happens.  Therefore, if we sin or don't believe in Him, it's because He made us do it.  But then, Calvi-god turns around and punishes mankind for their sin and unbelief.  Even though He caused it.  But Calvinists will continue to insist that Calvi-god is fair and just, and that we deserve what we get because we still "chose."      Calvinists will try to explain away the obvious contradiction by using words like "primary cause" and "secondary cause."  (They go by other names too.)  They'll say that God is the "primary cause" (that He ultimately

Hallelujah Christmas

I know it's not about Calvinism but ...  Wow!  Just ... wow! Hallelujah Christmas   (Cloverton) Bowing down right now with the shepherds and the wise men at the feet of my Lord and Savior  (Or try this video version if it doesn't get deleted for copyright reasons.  I love it!  Gives me chills!)

Ben Shapiro, Leighton Flowers, and Calvinism

If anyone wants to know what Calvinists believe and the problems with their logic and theology, check out this video by former 5-point Calvinist, Leighton Flowers:  "Ben Shapiro Questions Calvinism as defined by Allie Stuckey" . This is an hour-long video of Leighton watching the interview between Allie and Ben.  He pauses the video often to point out what Calvinists believe, their contradictions, the ways they misunderstand Scripture, the things they say to "manipulate" people into agreeing with them, and the illogicalness of their beliefs.  Very well-done!  And very right on the mark! Also visit his great blog where he regularly speaks out against Calvinism: Soteriology 101 .

I Highly Recommend Soteriology 101

If you want to know what Calvinism is and what's wrong with it, I highly recommend this blog - Soteriology 101 - written by a former 5-point Calvinist who is now speaking out against Calvinism. And I particularly recommend reading the comments section of each post if you really want to see how Calvinists think (and if you want to read some horrible quotes from Calvinist authors and theologians).   Dr. Flowers allows Calvinists, non-Calvinists, and anti-Calvinist to add comments to the comment section.  And these people are very educated and thoughtful.  All of them.  Calvinists, non-Calvinists, and anti-Calvinists alike.  So you get a really interesting, thoughtful, complex, eye-opening look at Calvinism.  And at Calvinist logic nonlogic in action.   When you read the comments by the Calvinist commenters (you can clearly identify them after awhile), you can see how they spin things, reword things, redefine things, ignore certain truths and logic, and take Bible verses out o

7. Anti-Calvinism Memes are so much fun to make!

Update: Click here for a post with the memes right on the page, not just the links\ A Calvinist Song "Jesus loves ..." God causes everything, right? Hmm!?! Yep, Makes Perfect Sense! Scroll Of Truth How Calvinism Was Created and Two Calvinists Talking...   [Yeah, yeah ... I know ... they're childish and mean.  But I couldn't help it.  They basically wrote themselves.  If it makes you happy, you can choose to substitute "Free-Will" in there for Calvinism.] When it turns ugly Surely that must mean ... How A Calvinist ... And then the Calvinist said ... Who does God love? Don't you Calvinists know ... If a tree falls ... I don't know if ... That would be great ... That face you make ... See, nobody cares! I don't want to hear your opinion ... And the results say ... Still waiting ... As I said, I know they're a little childish.  But I'm having fun making them anyway.  It's my way of venting some of t
